Prologue

Isabella Orosco is a New York City based performer, playwright, and podcaster. Originally from the coast of North Carolina, her mother actually encouraged her to pursue a career in the arts because it was the only career where she would get to learn and explore EVERY career she was ever interested in... and there were many.

She moved to New York to attend Marymount Manhattan College and fell in love with script writing and new work development while cultivating her skills as a performer. Her senior year of college, she speed-rapped her way through Spongebob the Musical (Dir. by Coleman Ray Clark; Music Dir. by Doug Oberhammer) starring as Sheldon J. Plankton, and received the Golden Key Award in Writing for the Stage. She graduated with honors with a BFA in Musical Theatre, and BA in Writing for the Stage. Her latest endeavor has been the development of the podcast Craven Conventions: the show all about female representation in horror films.

She just concluded in August 2025 serving as the first ever Artistic Administration fellow at Roundabout Theatre Company. Working closely with the Literary and Producing teams inside the Artistic department, she is thrilled to have spent the year working with the Roundabout Artistic team and can’t wait to continue working in new play development.
